Community Group Homes -- Lakewood, South Point, Gary and
Carrabaun -- Belmont: these community homes provide adults and
adolescents with mild to moderate mental retardation a home
environment while encouraging development of independent living
skills.
Fox Run Group Homes --Belhaven, Pinehaven, Brookwood and
Oakcrest Group Homes -- Belmont: these Intermediate Care Facilities
for the Mentally Retarded (ICF/MR) house children and adults who
have severe/profound mental retardation, multiple disabilities and
are medically fragile. All residents participate in innovative
special education and active treatment programs.
Cherubs Café, Gifts and Candy Bouquets, Belmont: Two
downtown locations provide adults with mental retardation an
opportunity for vocational training and employment. Opportunities
include learning work ethics, simple business skills, salesmanship
and development of creative talents through craft projects.
Great Adventures program which allows adults with and
without mental retardation an opportunity to share recreational,
social, service, leadership and spiritual experiences.
Little Angels Child Development Center offers on-site day
care services for children of employees and for some residents.
Camp Hope is a recreational facility, specially designed
for people with disabilities.

Sisters of Mercy Services is a non-profit corporation providing shared
administration and support services to the following ministries:
Sisters
of Mercy Urgent Care Centers, Asheville, NC —
Three Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care Centers
provide excellent, affordable minor emergency care to the people of the
Asheville/Buncombe County community. Patients with non-life-threatening
injuries and illnesses come to Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care to receive
quality, compassionate care, which has been a hallmark of the Sisters of
Mercy in Asheville for more than 106 years. Services are provided at a
fraction of the cost of emergency room care, with total treatment time
per patient averaging approximately one hour. In 2005, 52,500 patients
were served at Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care Centers. Through this
sponsored ministry, $1.8 million in uncompensated care was delivered to

Health Designs
Occupational Health provides
healthcare to business, industry and college infirmaries. The
occupational health division of Sisters of Mercy Urgent Care delivers
healthcare in the work place, caring for more than 25,000 patients last
year;
ARP/Phoenix has been a leading provider
of comprehensive behavioral health services in North Carolina. There are
programs in 28 North Carolina counties serving individuals and families
who are dealing with mental health issues and substance abuse problems
and/or are in need of abuse prevention services. Over 100,000 client
encounters per year help adolescents and adults overcome their
behavioral health problems in order to lead more fulfilling and
productive lives;
Mountain Health
Contracting Services, Inc., is a for-profit entity that
provides general contracting services to medical and business
establishments in the Asheville area. Mountain Health Contracting
targets medical facility construction and remodeling projects in the
range of $20,000-$1.5 million; and
McAuley Foundation is a separately
incorporated 501(c)3 that exists to support the mission and ministry of
the Sisters of Mercy in the Asheville area through the work of the
Urgent Care Centers.

transitional facility providing shelter, opportunities and guidance for
approximately 22 residents, women and women with children who are
homeless, in their search for independence and stability for their lives.
Residents are provided with a safe, comfortable environment along with
supportive programs that seek to promote healthy, happy families.
Additionally, women residents at Catherine's House are encouraged in their
efforts to become productive, independent heads of households. Stays at
the facility are generally limited to three months duration.
